Another year, another project at the University of Nevada, Reno. The E. L. Wiegand Fitness Center is one of our most fulfilling undertakings located on the UNR campus. The fitness center offers a wide variety of workout venues to include open gymnasiums, an indoor track, weightlifting, and cardio.
As a subcontractor on the project, we were responsible for supplying and installing all of the glass for the interior and exterior of the state-of-the-art fitness facility.
With the opening of its doors on February 14, 2017, the full length of the project spanned 18 months from our original award of contract. As one of our largest projects completed to date, the running total (materials, labor, etc.) comes to roughly $2,075,000.00. A project of this size allows our employees to experience a range of objectives to meet and obstacles to overcome such as working long hours of overtime and extreme weather conditions. We did work through this snowy winter after all!
The E.L. Wiegand Fitness Center was a great opportunity for us to grow as a company but even more so, to grow the confidence of our employees and their working rapports through a constant and steady workflow.
